Tennis Racket Stringing

Professional Tennis Racket Stringing

I own a Wilson Baiardo electronic stringing machine. This world famous tennis stringing machine is universally used at all the major tennis tournaments. I use the main most common types of strings, including hard and soft polyester, and synthetic gut.

Racket restrings costs £25 unless you provide your own string then it will be £21.

I will normally have your racket strung the same or next day.

Feel free to drop me a text or call me on 07497 744469 for any advice on strings and/or tension, more than happy to help.

Below is some further information:

The condition of your racket frame and grommets will be assessed

There are 2 main types of strings that rackets are normally strung with:

Synthetic gut – Mainly used by club players, gentle on the arm but does not last as long.

Polyester – The majority of professional tennis players use polyester which lasts longer than synthetic gut.

Some players prefer a hybrid of the two.

With regards to tension of the strings, this is especially important. Higher tension, more control but lower tension less control but more power.

Most club players wait until their string breaks before getting a racket restrung. Obviously, this saves money, but it would be normal for any racket to lose tension before a string breaks. Professional players rarely let their strings break.

I am a member of the European Racket Stringers Association (ERSA) and sat and passed their Professional Tennis Racket Stringing  exam
